Despite remaining incarcerated, Tory Lanez is preparing to release another major project.
The Canadian rapper and singer announced that his new double album, “MADE YOU THINK I WAS GONE”, will arrive July 17, sharing the news on social media with the message, “MADE YOU THINK I WAS GONE…BUT 7.17.” The project will be divided into two distinct halves, with “DISC 1: RAP” and “DISC 2: R&B,” reflecting the dual musical styles that have defined much of his career.
According to the announced track list, the rap portion—titled Fargo’s Revenge—features 12 songs, while the R&B collection, Fargo’s Heartbreak, includes 11 tracks. Song titles reference a mix of personal themes and contemporary figures, including NBA stars Jalen Brunson and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. It remains unclear whether the album consists entirely of newly recorded material or combines previously unreleased songs completed before or during his incarceration.
The release continues Lanez’s steady stream of music since beginning his prison sentence following his conviction in the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. While serving his sentence, he has continued issuing projects and singles, including Peterson, LOL: Slutty Bass and several standalone releases, maintaining a consistent output despite his legal circumstances.
