NewLife-Second Chance Outreach, Inc., whose mission is to end mass incarceration by equipping, empowering, and restoring socially, economically and civically disadvantaged Georgians impacted by an arrest, conviction or incarceration by providing services, resources and advocacy, has been granted its 8th annual proclamation by Georgia’s Governor to recognize July as Reentry Awareness Month and is hosting several virtual and in person events throughout the state. On July 17, 2024 at 4pm, they are hosting a virtual panel discussion that will address the inequities in accessing resources for formerly incarcerated people who are:
– Older
– Trans
– Living with a Mental Illness or Substance Dependency
– Impacted by the Sex Off***er Registry
