The Fountain City Classic (FCC) Host Committee is pleased to share a formalized process for high school seniors in the greater Columbus, Georgia region to apply for scholarship funds. The FCC scholarship application opens on March 1, 2023 and will close on April 15, 2023 at 11:59PM. Please review our scholarship overview & criteria below.

We offer two convenient ways to submit your scholarship application.

  1. Gather your materials and use our e-link or use our online application.
  2. Utilizing the PDF version, complete the scholarship application, save, print and email to us at fccscholars@fountaincityclassic.com

Scholarship Overview & Criteria:

Fountain City Classic Community Scholarship

  • Application for the FCC Community Scholarship will open March 1, 2023 and close on April 15, 2023 at 11:59PM.
  • Scholarship open to high school seniors within a 100-mile radius of Columbus, Georgia.
  • Applicants may attend any accredited college or university in the continental United States.
  • Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, SAT Reading & Writing 480, SAT Math 440, ACT English or Reading 17, Math 17
  • 3 reference letters (teacher, school counselor, an adult community person)
  • Essay requirement (300 word maximum)
  • Submit an official high school transcript via counselor recommendation form.
  • Upload a photo (headshot only)
  • In person interview for potential applicants.

Fountain City Classic Host Committee Scholarship

  • Application for the FCC Community Scholarship will open March 1, 2023 and close on April 15, 2023 at 11:59PM.
  • Scholarship open to high school seniors within a 100-mile radius of Columbus, Georgia.
  • Applicants must be accepted and attend either Albany State University or Fort Valley State University only.
  • Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, SAT Reading & Writing 480, SAT Math 440, ACT English or Reading 17, Math 17
  • 3 completed recommendation forms. Deadline April 15th (teacher, school counselor, an adult community person)
  • Essay requirement (300 word maximum)
  • Submit an official high school transcript via counselor recommendation form.
  • Upload a photo (headshot only)
  • Applicant must submit an official high school transcript.
  • In person interview for potential applicants.
